About
Someday Notes
Someday Notes is an independent travel and photography publication for people who want to experience places beyond the obvious.
We believe some of the best parts of traveling are found in the details: a side street you weren’t planning to walk down, a shop you almost passed, a neighborhood café, an old sign, an interesting building or simply watching the rhythm of everyday life somewhere unfamiliar.
Part travel journal and part practical guide, Someday Notes combines original stories and street photography with carefully edited recommendations, itineraries and maps designed to actually be used.
We don’t try to tell you everything there is to do somewhere. Instead, we share what we found interesting, beautiful, useful or simply worth remembering.
Read.
Stories from the road, neighborhood wanderings, visual essays and observations about the places we visit.
Sometimes it’s a whole city. Sometimes it’s one street, one shop or an hour spent walking without much of a plan.
Plan.
Our guides, maps and itineraries bring together the hotels, restaurants, independent shops, neighborhoods and other places we think are worth your time.
They aren’t exhaustive, and they aren't meant to be.
Use them to plan the whole day or just find a good place to start.
Collect.
Photography is at the heart of Someday Notes.
The photographs throughout the publication document the places we visit as we experienced them.
Selected photographs are available as prints and, eventually, other small editions and objects made to keep a little piece of somewhere with you.
